Dhananjay (aka DJ) is currently associated with Sagacious IP as a Group Manager. Also, he heads Sagacious IP’s Nagpur center.

He is actively involved in preparing IP strategies for ICT companies, including Fortune500s, for patent information, patent licensing, and patent litigation support services.

Over 11+ years of IP experience, he has handled patent monetization services like portfolio mining, infringement analysis, evidence of use chart preparation, and much more in the ICT domain.

His keen interest in patent transactions helped him complete many successful patent sales deals in his career. He always keeps an eye on global patent transactions to sense the patent supply-demand scenario for patent transactions. Such transaction intelligence helps him consult the companies to identify better deals for acquisition or sales.

He believes that custom IP tools are the future, and such tools can generate intelligent insights efficiently. With such thoughts, he conceived the idea of developing a one-stop database for SEPs from all SSOs. Consequently, Sagacious developed the SEP Hotline tool and continues to increase its coverage.

Another active area for him is patent litigation. He actively watches global patent litigations and never misses any chance to generate meaningful insights from them. He believes the patent litigation patterns can influence all other patenting activities in a particular industry.

He also counts his experience in educational organizations like MSBTE and RTM Nagpur University, where he served as a teaching fellow and worked closely with the course designers and lab developers.

DJ holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunication Systems from Amity University, Noida, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from Nagpur University. Also, he is a post-graduate in Intellectual Property Rights and Patent Management from GIIP, Delhi, affiliated with Washington University, Seattle, USA.
