We are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual, to join the Life Sciences and Chemistry team at Sagacious IP. - Patent searching and analysis in Life Sciences and Chemistry (Immunology, Molecular Biology, Genetic Engineering, Polymer Science, Material Science, Food Science, Biochemistry, Physical/Organic Chemistry), including using paid databases like Questel Orbit, Derwent Innovation and MS Office (especially MS Excel).
- Working on Landscape searches, including identifying trends and preparing graphical insights from raw data; FTO/Clearance search and providing technical opinion; Patentability/Novelty/State of Art searches and Invalidity/Validity searches, including providing comments and summarising the search conclusion.
- Identifying key concepts/key features from client input, identifying relevant keywords/term sets, classes and closest patent/non-patent references in initial quick searches.
- Ability to modify and improvise searching, according to the lead/project manager’s input.
- Performing quick searches to learn about the technology, exploring company websites, closest patents and products, to develop better understanding, and developing technology taxonomy or categorisation.
- Screening patents smartly and efficiently from a large dataset, on the basis of Claims, Title, Abstract.
- Performing key-feature level or category-level analysis of patents, from a large dataset, by analysing the document properly.
- Performing end-to-end searches, while working with a lead/project manager. This includes self-reviewing and quality checks of deliverables, while completing the project within the defined deadlines.
- Proactively raising flags with the project manager, to communicate ideas, challenges and conveying queries/updates to the client.
- Identifying self-training areas and proactively working with project managers, to improve expertise.
- Assisting project managers/managers in pre-sales, proposals and ad-hoc requests, while handling regular projects.
