About Tarun Kumar Bansal
A biologist by education and an entrepreneur by passion, Tarun has 15+ years of experience in multiple business arenas including Intellectual Property, Research & Technology Evaluation, and IP Commercialization.
At present, he is involved in growing Sagacious IP – One of the largest global IP research and consulting firm with offices in 6 countries and a certified ‘Great Place to Work’. While inking a successful journey of 12 years with Sagacious IP, Tarun along with his team of 250+ techno-legal professionals, has been helping clients in Developing, Creating, Identifying, Protecting, Maintaining, Enforcing and Monetizing their IP rights.
With expertise in IP and experience of working with innovators across the globe, he is now helping Indian SME’s and startups in innovation management process and assisting them in using Intellectual Property as a business tool.
During his journey, he was honoured with a title ‘CNBC Young Turks’ for his vision to help entrepreneurs across the globe through Sagacious IP’s services. A testament to his contributions in devising strategies for enhancing value of patent portfolios of his customers, he also bagged the title of a leading ‘Global IP Strategist’ by IAM Strategy 300 for the fourth time in a row. In 2020, he was also awarded as ‘Most Promising Intellectual Property Leader’ by India 5000 Awards. For his various entrepreneurial ventures, he has also been awarded with BW 40 Under 40 in the year 2021.
