India born BITS Pilani graduates Won Patent Infringement Case against Apple Inc with $862.4M in Damages. Two of the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, Rajasthan IN alumni engineers have won a case against Apple for infringing their proprietary patent on manufacturing chips in the iPad and iPhone. According o reports the lawsuit was originally brought up by the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation and mentioned the names of these two engineers while filing a lawsuit against the Apple Inc. The two engineers mentioned in the lawsuit are Gurindar Sohi, and Terani Vijaykumar.
